When I was out with a bunch of guys once, one derped with a number. People were expecting some sort of comment but I just said: "Tell me your chosen number set. Then define the operation you used. Then show me your proof. And we are good."
So I got told that if I somehow show the bill is zero then if we can just leave. I snickered because I wanted to hear that.
There is a place for theory and there is a place for the practical. Good to have both back to back.
Or one way to tell a mathematician from a physicist, haha.
